John Lui

John Lui is a junior at Stuart Hall High School. Back in November 2022, he attended the Kristallnacht Commemoration event, which inspired a brief essay about personal testimony and the power of empathy to expand the rawness of data and its potential to pierce through the limits of ideology. After, he felt the urge to help facilitate and plan events like these to the extent that it impacts one as he was impacted/influenced. To John, being a board member is about bringing awareness to such horrific acts with the goal of redefining the notion of ‘norm’ away from hate and prejudice.
